About this Anatomical Skull with Mushroom Crown Blackberries Ivy and Celestial embroidery pattern
Anatomical Skull with Mushroom Crown Blackberries Ivy and Celestial brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: anatomical skull, mixed mushroom crown, blackberry clusters, green and navy ivy leaves, curling midnight vines, lavender spirals, scattered stars and botanical sprigs.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Transfer and structural framework Transfer the skull, mushroom crown, blackberry clusters, ivy leaves, navy vine arcs, lavender spirals and star field. Establish skull symmetry and the outer vine rhythm first so the wreath stays balanced around the central face.
- Main focal element Build the anatomical skull first in 3865/822/644 with 310 and 3021 in the deepest recesses. Follow forehead, temple, cheekbone and jaw planes; keep sockets, nasal cavity, teeth and fissures crisp with one-strand split or backstitch.
- Secondary large element Work the mushroom crown next. Shape each cap with curved satin or long-and-short stitches, keep stems mostly vertical, define gills radially and separate lavender, navy, brown and pale caps with clean contour lines and preserved ivory stems.
- Foliage / supporting motifs Add the scrolling navy vines, green and blue ivy leaves and blackberry clusters. Follow each leaf from center vein outward, keep tendrils smooth and continuous, and build berries as compact separate drupelets rather than solid dark masses.
- Small decorative details Stitch lavender spirals, tiny dots, starbursts and small botanical sprigs. Use one strand for star points, fine tendrils and leaf veins; place knots deliberately so the airy negative space around the skull remains visible.
- Final accents, dimensional details, cleanup, and blocking Refine tooth edges, skull fissures, mushroom gills, cap spots, blackberry highlights, ivy veins and curl endpoints. Add the lightest stars last, remove transfer marks and block gently. Confirm skull first, mushroom crown second, scrolling berry-and-ivy frame third
