About this Anatomical Skull with Golden Mushroom Crown Smoke Curls and Midnight embroidery pattern
Anatomical Skull with Golden Mushroom Crown Smoke Curls and Midnight brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: anatomical skull, black-and-gold jeweled crown, mixed mushroom cluster, curling smoke tendrils, midnight navy leaf wreath, metallic-gold berry sprays, gray starbursts and scattered celestial dots.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Transfer and structural framework Transfer the skull centerline, crown band, mushroom cluster, smoke curls, paired wreath arcs, berry sprays and celestial marks. Keep the lower crossed stems symmetrical and preserve the open negative space around the face.
- Main focal element Build the anatomical skull first in 3865/762/318/317 with 3799 and 310 in the deepest sockets and cavities. Follow forehead, temple, cheekbone and jaw planes; keep teeth and fissures crisp with one-strand split or backstitch.
- Secondary large element Work the crown and mushroom cluster next. Define the dark jeweled crown with clean satin borders, then shape mushroom caps in curved satin or long-and-short stitches, stems vertically, and gills radially. Place cap spots and crown jewels last.
- Foliage / supporting motifs Stitch the midnight botanical wreath from stems outward. Use fishbone stitch on each leaf, alternating 939/823/3750 so the arcs stay dimensional, then add warm gold berry sprays with neat stems and compact knots.
- Small decorative details Add smoke curls, gray starbursts, gold stars, black dots and tiny celestial accents. Use one strand for smoke and stars, keeping curls smooth and airy so they frame the skull without competing with the mushroom crown.
- Final accents, dimensional details, cleanup, and blocking Refine teeth, eye sockets, mushroom gills, cap spots, crown jewels, leaf veins, berry knots and star centers. Add the brightest white and gold highlights last, remove transfer marks and block gently. Confirm skull first, crown-and-mushrooms second, wreath and celestial details third
