Haunted Church Snow Globe Autumn Ghost Wreath

Hand embroidery pattern PDF

US$2.00

Four airy ghosts create movement around the globe while an open botanical wreath of curling vines, acorns, berries, seed pods, pinecones and autumn leaves frames the entire scene. Value structure: The church, tree branches, acorns and pinecones hold the darkest values. Brightest values are the ghosts, globe highlights and pale leaf accents; copper and olive colors form the middle range. Embroidery approach: Keep ghosts and fine vines light and delicate. Use denser, more directional stitching inside the globe and on the base so the center remains visually stronger than the surrounding wreath.

About this Haunted Church Snow Globe Autumn Ghost Wreath embroidery pattern

Haunted Church Snow Globe Autumn Ghost Wreath brings botanical and ghosts details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Four airy ghosts create movement around the globe while an open botanical wreath of curling vines, acorns, berries, seed pods, pinecones and autumn leaves frames the entire scene.

The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size

The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.

A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Color and stitch guidance

Stitching sequence

  1. Establish fine framework Transfer the globe circle, wreath vines, ghost contours and key landscape lines. Backstitch only the thinnest structural marks first.
  2. Build the haunted landscape Work the dark tree, church, path, ground and grave markers inside the globe. Keep branch tips to 1 strand and preserve small negative spaces.
  3. Stitch the globe and base Outline the glass contour, then fill the copper base in curved horizontal bands, moving from deep brown shadow to copper and light brown highlight.
  4. Add the ghosts Use one strand for pale outlines and only a few light shadow strokes inside each figure. Keep their centers mostly open so they appear translucent.
  5. Complete the autumn wreath Stem-stitch the curling vines, add fishbone leaves, satin acorns/seed pods, layered pinecones and knot berries.
  6. Finish stars, dots and cleanup Place gold/rust knots and tiny straight-stitch stars, then refine highlight balance, secure ends and remove visible travel threads
