About this Horned Bat Pumpkins Autumn Celestial Wreath embroidery pattern
Horned Bat Pumpkins Autumn Celestial Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: large dark navy horned bat with lavender fur/wing highlights, surrounded by rust, cream and green pumpkins, acorns, sage/ivory foliage, dark berry sprigs, crescent moon, stars and harvest dots.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- TRANSFER + AUTUMN FRAME Transfer bat anatomy, wing ribs, pumpkin lobes, acorn shapes, branch arcs, leaf spines and celestial centers. Work the finest branch/stem structure first in 801/3011 so later foliage and fruit naturally cover junctions.
- BAT BODY + FACE Thread-paint the torso and head in 310/939/823, following fur direction from crown toward chest. Add facial details in one strand, then build lavender ear/fur accents in 3740/3041/3042 without over-highlighting the dark body.
- BAT WING MEMBRANES Set major wing ribs first in one-strand 310/939. Fill membrane panels from body outward using 939/823 with 3740/3041 on raised folds; keep pale 3042 limited to narrow catches so the wings remain deep navy overall.
- PUMPKINS + ACORNS Work pumpkins one lobe at a time: 920/921 for rust, 3011/3012/3013 for green and 822/3865 for cream. Keep grooves darker and ridges lighter. Satin acorns in 801/822 with dark textured caps and short split stems.
- FOLIAGE + BERRY SPRIGS Fishbone sage leaves in 3011/3012/3013 and ivory leaves in 822/3865, always converging toward the central vein. Add dark berry sprigs in 310/939 as compact knots or seed stitches, keeping cluster size restrained.
- MOON, STARS + FINAL BALANCE Satin the crescent in 3865 with subtle 729 warmth if needed, then radiate gold/ivory/navy stars from exact centers. Add tiny dots last. Check that the bat remains dominant and the autumn frame stays balanced with open ivory breathing space
