About this Moonlit Crow Bats Skull Botanical Wreath embroidery pattern
Moonlit Crow Bats Skull Botanical Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: A twisted branch anchors the bird while bats, skull medallions, crescent moon, rosette blooms, sage leaves and gold sprays form a balanced circular frame. Value hierarchy: Near- black crow feathers, bats and skull cavities are darkest. Winter-white knots and moon highlights are brightest; copper, old-gold and burgundy motifs provide warm accents. Embroidery approach: Build the crow and branch first, keep the botanical wreath airy with fine stems and fishbone leaves, then finish with raised rosettes, knots, stars and tiny skull details.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Establish the structural framework Transfer the circular wreath, twisted perch, crow silhouette, bat positions and crescent moon. Stitch the branch and major stems first with fine split or stem stitch.
- Build the central crow Outline the bird, then fill head, breast, wing and tail in directional charcoal layers. Add beak, eye, claws and narrow cool-gray feather highlights after the dark mass is stable.
- Work bats and skull medallions Complete the four bats with crisp wing scallops, then fill each small skull in gray with near-black eye and nose cavities.
- Add rosettes and foliage Stitch rust and gold rosette blooms, sage leaves and burgundy foliage around the wreath; keep stems lighter so the crow remains dominant.
- Complete moon, wheat sprays and knots Work the cream crescent, golden plume motifs, pale knot clusters and scattered gold dots/stars.
- Finish highlights and cleanup Check crow feather direction, sharpen motif edges, balance pale accents, remove visible travel threads and secure every thread end
