About this Sleeping Black Cat Crescent Spider Webs embroidery pattern
Sleeping Black Cat Crescent Spider Webs brings celestial details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: a curled sleeping black cat on a cream-and-gray crescent moon, four large corner spider-web panels, multiple flying bats, scattered gold and gray stars, and small metallic-looking knot dots inside a dark navy circular border.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.
Color and stitch guidance
The supplied guide proposes 15 DMC colors. Compare important shades with real floss under your working light.
The supplied guide labels this design intermediate. Allow time for controlled spacing and detailed areas.

Stitching sequence
- 1. Transfer & spacing Trace the outer navy circle, central crescent and sleeping cat first. Add the four corner web panels next, then position the bats, stars and knot dots so the open ivory areas stay balanced. 2. Crescent moon Lay 822 / 3865 in the brightest inner band, then blend 3864 / 318 / 414 / 413 toward the shaded outer edge. Keep long-and-short stitches following the moon arc and finish with a neat split or stem outline. 3. Sleeping black cat Outline with 939 / 310. Fill the body with directional long-and-short stitches using 939, 823 and restrained 310 in the deepest folds. Add ear, paw, nose and face details with satin / split stitches and use one strand for whiskers. 4. Spider-web panels Work every web in one strand of 413 / 414 / 318 / 762. Stitch the main spokes first, then the curved cross bars from center outward. Keep tension light and spacing consistent so the linen remains flat. 5. Flying bats Use 310 / 3799 / 413 for the bat silhouettes. Fill with short satin or compact long-and-short stitches, then add one-strand backstitch for wing separations, ear points and small body details. 6. Stars, knots & border Stitch gray stars with 318 / 3023 and warm stars with 3045 / 729 / 3829. Add tiny French or colonial knots last. Finish the outer ring in 939 / 823 with smooth stem or split stitch and trim all travel threads
