About this Full Moon Witch Celestial Moth Wreath embroidery pattern
Full Moon Witch Celestial Moth Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: central black witch flying across a full ivory-gray moon, surrounded by four dark navy moths, three pale moths, a thorny navy wreath, gold/silver starbursts and hanging celestial charms.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- TRANSFER + CIRCULAR SCAFFOLD Transfer moon edge, witch silhouette, moth axes, major branch arcs and every star/chain center. Work the wreath stems and hanging chains first in one strand so the circular geometry remains clean before dense fills.
- FULL-MOON TEXTURE Outline the moon softly in 822, then fill with curved 3865/415/318/317 long-and-short stitches following the disk. Break the surface into irregular light/dark patches rather than horizontal bands; keep the outer rim smooth and luminous.
- WITCH + BROOM SILHOUETTE Fill the witch in 310 with stitch direction following hat, torso, skirt and legs separately. Re-establish only essential contour lines afterward. Work the broom shaft in split stitch and fan the bristles with fine straight stitches so the silhouette stays crisp.
- LARGE NAVY MOTHS Thread-paint the four dark moths from thorax outward using 939/823/336, keeping outer wing edges deepest. Add 729/676 veins as narrow split/couched lines after the dark fill is stable; keep bodies compact and slightly raised.
- PALE MOTHS + WREATH DETAIL Work the three pale moths in 822/3782/3865 with restrained 729 detail. Refine branch tips and small leaves in 939/823. Keep pale moths flatter and lighter than the large navy moths so the ring has a clear hierarchy.
- STARS, CHARMS + FINAL BALANCE Radiate gold stars in 729/676 and silver-violet stars in 317/3041 from exact centers. Add tiny knot nodes on chains last. Check the ring at arm's length: moon remains dominant, witch stays crisp, moths remain balanced, and open ivory space remains visible
