About this Apothecary Bottle Bats Herbal Wreath embroidery pattern
Apothecary Bottle Bats Herbal Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: A rust-outlined apothecary bottle filled with delicate herbs forms the focal center. A dark cauldron, warm crystal cluster and tied herb bundle anchor the base. Five bats, copper and gold stars, scattered dots and a symmetrical olive-brown scrolling vine wreath complete the occult botanical frame. Artwork reference - complete composition, undistorted.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- PHASES 1. TRANSFER + STRUCTURAL FRAME Transfer the bottle silhouette and label, five bats, full curling vine frame, cauldron, crystal cluster, tied herb bundle, stars and dot placements. Mark bottle-internal herb stems lightly. Keep the smallest sparkles and French-knot dots as reference points only until final balancing. 2. APOTHECARY BOTTLE FOCAL Work the rust bottle outline first in 920/921, keeping shoulders symmetrical and the base smooth. Add the cork in 3829/729, then the pale label and its rust frame. Stitch the tiny dark label lettering with one strand only after the label is flat. Finish the interior herb sprigs with fine green stems and gold/rust seed heads. 3. LOWER OBJECTS Fill the cauldron in 3371/801 using curved rows that follow the bowl, then add rim, handles and feet in the darkest tones. Build the crystal cluster with 920/921/922, separating facets with directional satin changes. Stitch the herb bundle in 3011/3012/3013 with stem and fishbone stitches, then add the pale binding wraps. 4. WREATH VINES + LEAVES Stem-stitch the symmetrical olive scrolls in 3011/3051-style dark green values, following each spiral without angular breaks. Fill leaves in alternating olive and coffee-brown families. Keep veins directional and leave small gaps where branches cross so the wreath remains airy rather than becoming a dense border. 5. BATS + CELESTIAL ACCENTS Outline all bats in 3371/3799, then fill wing panels in 3799/413/414 with directional long-and-short stitches. Add rib lines and ears last. Stitch copper stars in 920/921 and muted gold stars in 729/3829, adjusting ray length to match each printed star and preserve visual rhythm around the bottle. 6. DOTS, DETAIL + BLOCKING Add scattered copper, brown and gold knots, tiny one-strand sparkles, final tendrils and any missing herb seed heads. Recheck label legibility, left/right wreath symmetry, bat spacing and separation between the lower three objects. Remove transfer marks, steam from the reverse and block the finished work perfectly flat
