About this Raven Candle Lunar Rose Wreath embroidery pattern
Raven Candle Lunar Rose Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: A lit taper and metallic holder sit left of the bird. The outer bramble wreath carries burgundy roses, rosebuds, berries and cool gray-green leaves. Light & value: Brightest values occur in the candle body, flame, moon crescents and metallic highlights. Deepest values sit in the raven, berry clusters and rose shadows. Embroidery approach: Establish the vine framework first, then complete the raven and candle before adding roses, foliage, lunar symbols and gold accents. Motif Stitch Strands Direction / technique Raven body & wing Long-and-short + split 1-2 Feather strokes follow anatomy: head downward/back, wing diagonally toward tail; keep primaries distinct. Beak, feet & eye Satin + backstitch 1 Short, tight stitches; use a tiny pale eye highlight only after dark fills are complete. Candle & flame Satin / long-and-short 1-2 Vertical candle fill; curve around wax drips; flame radiates upward from dark core to pale edge. Metal holder Long-and-short + split 1-2 Follow cup, stem and saucer contours; reserve pale gray for reflective edges. Roses & buds Long-and-short / woven rose 2 Petal strokes spiral from center; darkest burgundy stays in inner folds and under petals. Leaves & vines Fishbone + stem 1-2 Leaves from center vein outward; thorny vine follows the circular wreath. Berries, moons & stars French knots / satin / straight 1-2 Knots for berries/dots; satin follows moon curve; single straight stitches for star rays.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Choose an outline size for Raven Candle Lunar Rose Wreath, print it and measure the result before transferring the drawing to taut fabric.
- Consult the supplied DMC and stitching guide before starting. Work structural outlines and larger shapes before small overlapping details.
- Follow the design reference for spacing and the guide for stitch direction. Keep thread tension even and check that dense areas do not pull the ground fabric.
- Finish fine accents, secure thread ends and remove transfer marks according to the marking product's instructions.
