About this Skeleton Hand with Crescent Moon Bats and Autumn Florals embroidery pattern
Skeleton Hand with Crescent Moon Bats and Autumn Florals brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: central skeletal hand; gold crescent with sprig; seven black bats; starbursts; five autumn flowers; side foliage and berry dots.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Transfer and structural framework Transfer all major contours. Establish 3799/3021 one-strand skeleton and branch guides first; check hand alignment and floral balance before fills.
- Main focal element Shade each bone lengthwise in 3024/822/3865; reserve 3799 for joint creases. Keep finger fills light and directional to avoid widening.
- Secondary large element Build the crescent in 680/729 along the arc, then add the green sprig. Keep its inner edge crisp behind the fingertips.
- Foliage / supporting motifs Stem-stitch branches, fishbone leaves in 3011-13 and 3021/433, then work five flowers from darker bases to copper/old-gold highlights.
- Small decorative details Add seven bats in 310 with one-strand edges and compact fills. Finish starbursts, berry dots and pale knots after large motifs.
- Final accents, dimensional details, cleanup, and blocking Deepen joints sparingly, brighten flower centers and crescent tips, balance foliage weight, then block flat without stretching the ivory negative space
