About this Sleeping Black Cat Crescent Moon Copper Rose Wreath embroidery pattern
Sleeping Black Cat Crescent Moon Copper Rose Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: curled sleeping black cat on a pale-gold crescent, copper roses and buds, charcoal foliage, black berry clusters, warm orange berries, moon phases, gold stars and three small candles.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.
Color and stitch guidance

Stitching sequence
- 1. Transfer & center Center the sleeping cat and crescent first, then mark the four large roses and surrounding buds. Add paired foliage, berry sprays, moon phases, stars and the three candles last so the wreath stays balanced. 2. Cat & crescent Work the cat mainly in 310 with restrained 3799 / 413 directional highlights. Follow fur growth around the back, haunch, tail and forelegs. Build the crescent with 822, 3865 and touches of 422, following its curve. 3. Copper roses & buds Shade roses with 920, 921 and 922, reserving 975 / 3371 for recessed folds and centers. Stitch petals from base toward edge so the spiral construction remains visible. Use the same family for buds and orange berries. 4. Foliage & stems Use 310 and 3799 for the darkest leaves, then 3021 / 3022 for the gray-olive leaves. Work fishbone or directional long-and-short along each leaf vein. Keep stems thin in 3021, 3371 or 3799. 5. Berries, moons & stars Form black berry clusters with tight 310 / 3799 French knots. Work moon phases with 310 edges and 822 / 3865 lit faces. Add starbursts and tiny dots in 729 / 3829 with single straight stitches and French knots. 6. Candles & finishing Build candle bodies with 422 and 822, shade bases with 3829, and use 729 for flame glow. Keep the three candles small and crisp. Check symmetry, trim traveling threads, then lightly press from the reverse over a towel
