About this Three Woodland Mushrooms with Rose Wreath Stars and Autumn Berries embroidery pattern

Three Woodland Mushrooms with Rose Wreath Stars and Autumn Berries brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Three central woodland mushrooms, circular rose-and- leaf wreath, orange and gold berry buds, pale cream blossoms, scattered black/orange/gold starbursts and tiny seed-like dots.

The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size

The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.

The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.

A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Color and stitch guidance

Stitching sequence

  1. Transfer and structuralframework Transfer the three mushrooms, circular vine path, large rosettepositions, leaf groups, berry buds and all major stars. Mark themushroom baseline and cap widths before filling anything.
  2. Main focal element Stitch the red-orange spotted mushroom first. Curve the cap fillfrom crown toward edge, add the pale gills and textured ivorystem, then place white cap spots after the fill is smooth.
  3. Secondary large elementComplete the tall ochre mushroom and the smaller creammushroom. Keep stems mostly vertical with subtle long-and-short shading, and radiate gills cleanly beneath each cap.
  4. Foliage / supporting motifsWork the charcoal-green vine framework, then build sageleaves in matched pairs around the hoop. Add the largeorange, gold and cream rosettes with even spiral tension.
  5. Small decorative detailsAdd berry buds, tiny flower centers, ground seeds, orange/gold/black starbursts and the small dot field. Keep the celestialmarks open around the mushroom silhouettes.
  6. Final accents, dimensionaldetails, cleanup, andblocking Refine leaf veins, cap spots, gill spacing, rosette centers andberry stems; remove visible carries, balance the wreath, pressfrom the reverse and block without flattening raised flowers orknots
