About this Witch Ghost Pumpkin Spiderweb Garland embroidery pattern
Witch Ghost Pumpkin Spiderweb Garland brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: A smiling sheet ghost in a purple witch hat sits on a teal-and-cream checked blanket beside an orange pumpkin, a lit candle and a purple potion bottle marked H. Above are a large black spiderweb and a row of orange, black and teal pennants. A circular sage-green leafy wreath frames the scene with flying black bats, small gold starbursts and a wrapped gold candy at the bottom. Artwork reference - complete composition, undistorted.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- PHASES 1. TRANSFER + STRUCTURAL FRAME Transfer the ghost and hat, blanket perspective, pumpkin/candle/bottle shapes, upper spiderweb, pennant line, major wreath stems and bat silhouettes. Stitch the one-strand 310 web spokes and curved arcs first, then the 3011 wreath stem scaffold. Leave faces, H lettering, stars and tiny flag bats for later. 2. MAIN FOCAL ELEMENT Fill the ghost in 3865 with vertical/fanned long-and-short stitches, blending 822 only at the hem, side edge and object overlaps. Build the hat in 550/552/554 following the bent crown and brim planes. Keep both fills smooth and flat; add the black hat contour and ghost face only after all purple and white stitching is complete. 3. SECONDARY LARGE ELEMENT Stitch the pumpkin lobe by lobe with 920 in groove valleys and 921 on rounded crowns, adding 3011/801 in the stem. Work the candle in 3865/822 with 729/921 in the flame, then the bottle in 550/552/554 with 801 cork. Keep highlights narrow so the ghost remains brighter than every accessory. 4. FLORALS / FOLIAGE / SUPPORTING ELEMENTS Stem-stitch the wreath in 3011 and fishbone the leaves with 3012, touching 3013 only to the light-facing tips. Fill the teal-and-cream blanket checks in 3810/3811 and 3865/822, keeping each square flat and aligned to the diamond perspective. Fill pennants after the web so their top edges sit cleanly beneath it. 5. SMALL DETAIL WORK Satin-stitch bats in 310, following each wing. Add tiny bat emblems to the orange/teal flags last. Work the 729 starbursts, the gold wrapped candy, candle base details, bottle label and one-strand H. Add leaf veins selectively; too many veins will make the wreath visually heavy. 6. FINAL DETAILS + BLOCKING Restore any broken 310 outline around the hat, ghost, pumpkin, candle, bottle and blanket, keeping line weight consistent. Check left/right bat and foliage balance and preserve open ivory space around the ghost. Secure dark tails away from the white body, steam from the reverse and block square without flattening the pumpkin lobes or candle flame
