About this Autumn Cottage Ghost Harvest embroidery pattern

Autumn Cottage Ghost Harvest brings celestial and ghosts details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Storybook stone cottage with glowing orange windows, two tiny white ghosts, pumpkins, rust and brown leaves, berries, muted olive vines and star-like dots.

The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Stitching sequence

  1. 1. TRANSFER + CENTER Center the cottage facade first. Mark roof peaks, doors, windows and the circular foliage boundary before adding dense leaves or berries. 2. COTTAGE + MASONRY Outline with 3371/3021. Shade stone sparingly with 822 and 3865, leaving generous fabric light; keep brick joins fine and irregular rather than filling every block. 3. WINDOWS + GHOSTS Build the warm glow with 920/921/922 and 3826, following each pane vertically. Stitch ghosts in 3865 with 3371 only for tiny facial details and edge definition. 4. PUMPKINS + OLIVE VINES Shape orange pumpkins with 920/921/922 and green pumpkins with 934/936/3012. Curve ribs from stem to base; work vines in stem stitch before leaf fills. 5. RUST / BROWN FOLIAGE Use 838, 920, 921 and 922. Fishbone leaves from center vein outward, alternating warm and dark groups so the cottage silhouette stays readable. 6. BERRIES + FINAL DETAILS Satin or padded-satin berries in 921/920; use 3799 for the blue-black fruit. Finish tiny dots, leaf veins, path stones and roof texture with single-strand accents. FINISHING & PRESSING NOTES Press from the reverse over a thick towel. Protect raised berries and pumpkin ribs; re-block so the cottage remains centered and the foliage circle stays even
