About this Black Cat Occult Pumpkin Skull Wreath embroidery pattern

Black Cat Occult Pumpkin Skull Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: black cat seated on a pale orange jack-o-lantern with a central eye symbol, three small skulls, olive-and-sage botanical wreath, burgundy berries, curling green vines, crescent moons, stars and black occult-style marks.

The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

This watermarked preview shows the transfer drawing. Clean outlines are included in the purchased pattern PDF.

Choose your hoop size

The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.

A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Color and stitch guidance

The supplied guide proposes 15 DMC colors. Compare important shades with real floss under your working light.

The supplied guide labels this design intermediate. Allow time for controlled spacing and detailed areas.

Stitching sequence

  1. 1. Transfer & anchors Trace the cat, pumpkin, skulls, main vine arcs and central eye first. Mark moon, star, rune and berry positions before adding fills. 2. Wreath framework Stem-stitch the large green curls and branch lines. Keep the wreath open around the cat silhouette and avoid crowding the outer hoop edge. 3. Leaves, berries & symbols Fishbone-stitch olive and sage leaves from midrib outward. Add burgundy French- knot berries, gold stars and black rune marks after foliage. 4. Pumpkin & eye motif Shade each pumpkin rib from copper shadow to light copper highlight. Keep the jack-o-lantern openings crisp, then outline and fill the central eye. 5. Cat & skulls Work the black cat in directional fur strokes, reserving gray and Winter White for controlled highlights. Shade skulls lightly and backstitch sockets. 6. Fine finish Add whiskers, crescent moons, tiny dots and star rays last. Check symmetry, trim jump threads and press face-down over a clean towel
