Hand embroidery pattern PDF

US$2.00

Large looping black thorn vines create a circular frame. Purple skull-like blooms, berry sprays, sage foliage, cream flowers and scattered stars fill the open spaces. Value hierarchy: The strongest darks are the black vines and cup contours; rich plum skulls and cup bands form the mid-dark color mass; winter-white ghosts and gold stars provide the brightest contrast. Embroidery approach: Establish the fine vine skeleton first, then build the cup and ghosts, followed by skull blooms and foliage. Add berries, flowers, stars and border dots last to preserve clean spacing.

Choose your hoop size

The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.

A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence

  1. Establish vine framework Trace the large black looping vines in stem stitch, then add short thorn stitches and the circular border arcs before dense fills are introduced.
  2. Build the central cup Outline the cup and handle, fill the dark purple body with controlled satin/ long-and-short stitches, and reserve spaces for the gold scroll ornament.
  3. Stitch the ghost steam Work each ghost from its lower tail upward with pale directional stitches. Add the tiny black faces only after the white forms are complete.
  4. Add skull blooms & botanicals Fill the purple skull-like blossoms, then stitch leaves, stems and sage-green berries around the vine loops.
  5. Add flowers, berries & ornament Complete cream flowers, knot clusters and gold cup scrollwork. Keep strand counts modest so these details remain crisp.
  6. Finish celestial accents Add stars, dots, tiny sparkles and final highlights. Check spacing, smooth dense fills and secure all traveling threads on the reverse
