About this Halloween Castle Bats Pumpkin Wreath embroidery pattern
Halloween Castle Bats Pumpkin Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: a dark gothic castle with burgundy roofs, winding olive path and hill, black flying bats, cream crescent moon, gold stars, five orange pumpkins, deep burgundy curling vines, dark green leaves, olive foliage, berries and.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- 1. Transfer & anchors Trace the castle, hill, path, five pumpkins, crescent moon, bats and full vine wreath first. Mark every star, berry and twig before any dense filling begins. 2. Castle & roofs Split-stitch the silhouette and tower divisions. Fill the castle in black-brown and pewter values, keeping roof planes distinctly burgundy. Work window lights last so they stay crisp. 3. Hill & winding path Build the hill with dark avocado directional stitches and sparse seed texture. Shape the path with olive split / stem stitch following every bend toward the castle. 4. Bats, moon & stars Fill bats with compact black satin, keeping wing points sharp. Work the crescent in pale padded satin, then add gold and cream stars with one-strand straight stitches. 5. Pumpkins, vines & leaves Shade each pumpkin with curved copper ribs from stem to base. Stem-stitch the burgundy scrolling vines and fill leaves in fishbone stitch, alternating dark green and olive values. 6. Berries, balance & finish Add burgundy berries, gold dots and tiny cream highlights last. Check that the central castle remains darkest, pumpkins are evenly distributed, and the wreath stays airy.
