About this Haunted Library Cat Witch Ghost Candy Bowl embroidery pattern
Haunted Library Cat Witch Ghost Candy Bowl brings woodland and gothic details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: A large black cat crosses the center in front of a smiling sheet ghost wearing a violet witch hat. A deep candy bowl anchors the lower foreground, while an orange pumpkin with skull flowers, curling sage vines, stacked books, a haunted bookshelf, candles, miniature ghosts, mushrooms, a castle-like shelf ornament, bunting, a hanging spider and a broad spiderweb fill the circular hoop. Artwork reference - complete composition, undistorted.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Stitching sequence
- PHASES 1. TRANSFER + STRUCTURAL FRAME Transfer the cat, ghost, witch hat, candy bowl, pumpkin, main bookshelves, open books, spiderweb, hanging spider, bunting and dominant vine arcs. Mark shelf horizontals carefully. Start with one-strand 801/3799 backstitch on the principal shelf edges, web spokes and main stems so spacing is fixed before fills. 2. CENTRAL CAT Work the cat first as the strongest dark silhouette. Lay 3799 under-modeling on the muzzle, shoulder, ribcage and tail crest, then cover toward 310 in shadow zones. Keep stitches aligned with fur growth and leave the face clean. Add nose, mouth, eyes and whiskers only after the body fill is smooth. 3. GHOST + WITCH HAT Build the ghost in 712 shadow folds, then blend into 3865 on the face and front drape. Fan stitches around the lower sheet folds. Fill the hat with 154/3740/3041 following its bent cone and brim; add 729 buckle, tiny mushroom caps and dark hat creases after the violet body is complete. 4. CANDY BOWL + PUMPKIN Shape the lower bowl in cream/tan with curved rows that follow its oval form. Fill sweets individually in 920/921, 3740/3041, 3052/3053, 301 and 729, keeping overlaps distinct. Work the left pumpkin in curved copper ribs, then add its dark grooves, stem and small skull-flower details. 5. BOOKSHELVES + BOTANICAL SUPPORT Block books in violet, sage, teal, brown and cream, then define page edges and shelf lines in one strand. Work open books with cream page blocks and dark linework. Fishbone the surrounding leaves in 3051/3052/3053, stem-stitch curling vines and add mushrooms, candles and tiny side ghosts without overfilling the ground. 6. WEB, SPIDER + FINAL DETAILS Complete web arcs in one-strand 310/3799 and satin the hanging spider. Fill bunting panels, music-note/book motifs and small gold accents. Add ghost faces, candle flames, candy wrapper folds, whiskers, shelf-page marks and tiny curls last. Remove transfer marks, steam lightly from the reverse and block the hoop composition flat
