About this Rust Orange Pumpkin with Spiderweb Potion Bottles Moon Phases embroidery pattern

Rust Orange Pumpkin with Spiderweb Potion Bottles Moon Phases brings celestial and witchy details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: large rust-orange pumpkin with charcoal spiderweb; two labeled potion bottles; olive herb bundle and leafy vine; dark brown stem; three crescent moon phases; scattered gray stars and warm dotted celestial accents.

The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size

The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.

The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.

A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence

  1. Transfer and structural framework Transfer the pumpkin silhouette, curved stem, major rib divisions, spiderweb spokes and rings, two potion bottles with labels, left herb bundle, surrounding vine, three crescent moons, gray stars and small celestial dots. Keep all lettering large enough to remain legible after stitching.
  2. Main focal element Build the rust-orange pumpkin first with layered copper and orange values. Follow each rib from stem to base in long-and-short stitch, then reinforce the darkest creases while reserving the right side for the charcoal web so the web remains crisp and visible.
  3. Secondary large element Work the two potion bottles, including corks, olive brew liquid, rust potion fill, pale labels and dark outlines. Stitch the BREW and POTION lettering last with one strand, keeping characters centered and evenly spaced inside each label.
  4. Foliage / supporting motifs Add the left herb bundle, berry dots, leafy vine behind the stem and curling tendrils around the pumpkin base. Angle leaf stitches outward from their stems and vary khaki values so the greenery frames rather than merges with the orange focal mass.
  5. Small decorative details Stitch the charcoal spiderweb, three crescent moon phases, scattered gray stars and warm celestial dots. Use one strand for all web lines and star rays, maintaining even tension so the upper white ground stays open and the web geometry remains delicate.
  6. Final accents, dimensional details, cleanup, and blocking Deepen selected pumpkin creases, stem shadows, bottle edges and web intersections, add pale highlights to labels and moon details, then clean transfer marks and block gently. Confirm the pumpkin remains dominant while bottles, herbs and celestial details read clearly as secondary accents
