About this Autumn Floral Boot Celestial Hoop embroidery pattern

Autumn Floral Boot Celestial Hoop brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Dark brown lace-up Victorian boot; rust, olive, burgundy and cream bouquet; moon phases and crescents; white clouds; gold stars; curling autumn vines; berries and scattered accent knots.

The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size

The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.

A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Color and stitch guidance

The supplied guide proposes 15 DMC colors. Compare important shades with real floss under your working light.

The supplied guide labels this design intermediate. Allow time for controlled spacing and detailed areas.

Stitching sequence

  1. Transfer the complete boot, bouquet, moon phases, crescents, clouds, stars, berries and curling side vines. Preserve the generous natural-linen negative space around the central boot and celestial ring.
  2. Establish the boot with 3371/938/801. Follow each leather panel with directional long-and-short stitch; use one strand for seams, laces and eyelets, then add copper-gold scrollwork and buckle details with 975/3826/729.
  3. Build the bouquet from the back forward: olive foliage in 934/936/3011, wheat and gold leaves in 3826/729, rust flowers in 920/921/975, burgundy flowers and berries in 815/816, and cream flowers in 3865/822.
  4. Stitch the moon phases and crescents with 3865/822 plus 938 or 3371 for dark lunar sections. Keep circular edges crisp with split stitch. Pad the white clouds lightly so they sit above the linen without becoming bulky.
  5. Work the side vines in 975/920/934/936, following each curl with stem stitch and placing leaves along their natural growth direction. Add berries as compact French knots and stars with 729/3865 straight stitches.
  6. Finish flower centers with 729/3826 or 921 knots, reinforce the darkest boot accents sparingly, and check that the bouquet remains dominant while celestial motifs stay airy and evenly spaced. Reverse press over a towel. FINISHING: Steam from the reverse over a towel. Avoid flattening flower centers, berry knots, padded clouds, lunar texture, raised gold accents and the directional dark-brown boot shading
