About this Lunar Moth Pumpkins Botanical Scroll Wreath embroidery pattern
Lunar Moth Pumpkins Botanical Scroll Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Four pumpkins form the lower harvest cluster. Sage leaves, burgundy sprigs, round seedpod/ berry groups and scattered gold knots fill the wreath without competing with the moth. Darkest / brightest values: Black and black-brown define wing margins, antennae and ornamental scrolls. Winter-white crescents and cream pumpkins are the brightest areas; old-gold knots and stars provide warm sparkle. Embroidery approach: Preserve symmetry. Outline the moth and scrollwork first, then fill wings, pumpkins and leaves. Finish with knots, stars and gold accents so small raised details stay clean.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Establish outlines and symmetry Backstitch the moth silhouette, antennae and major ornamental scrolls. Mark pumpkin ribs and the main foliage stems before filling.
- Complete the moth Fill black outer wing zones first, then plum panels and lower wings. Add cream moon crescents and body bands only after the dark fills are stable.
- Work the pumpkin cluster Stitch the two orange and two cream pumpkins with vertical rib direction, darkening the grooves and keeping stems compact.
- Build the botanical wreath Add sage leaves, burgundy sprigs and rounded seedpod clusters, keeping left/right density visually balanced.
- Finish scrollwork and accents Add old-gold highlights beside the black scroll lines, then scatter gold knots, berry knots and small straight-stitch stars.
- Refine edges and tension Correct wing and pumpkin edges with split stitch, trim uneven knots, secure thread tails and check the fabric for puckering
