About this Autumn Floral Boot embroidery pattern
Autumn Floral Boot brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Plum lace-up boot with burgundy flowers; two ivory candles; gold stars/sprigs; copper, plum and sage leaf wreath.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 CM HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- 1. TRANSFER + STRUCTURE Transfer the boot silhouette, sole, seams and lace path first. Mark both candles, the flower cluster, then the circular leaf wreath, stars and gold dots so spacing stays balanced. 2. BOOT BODY + BLACK DETAILS Shade the boot in directional long-and-short using 154 in the deepest folds and 3834 through the main plum panels. Work 310 sole, laces and seam accents last; introduce 3799 only where black detail needs separation. 3. FLOWERS + BOOT BOUQUET Build burgundy flowers from 814 into 816, following each petal from outer edge toward its center. Use 729/3852 for small centers and gold companion petals; pad only the fuller rose heads. 4. CANDLES + GOLD ACCENTS Fill candle bodies with 822 and lift edges with 3865. Outline selectively with 3829, then work flame interiors and star rays in 729/3852. Keep all gold details narrow and crisp. 5. AUTUMN LEAF WREATH Fishbone copper leaves in 920/922, plum leaves in 154/3834 and sage leaves in 3051/3052. Alternate color families around the hoop rather than blending them together inside every leaf. 6. DOTS + FINAL REFINEMENT Add gold dots as compact 729/3829 French knots, leaf veins as one-strand straight stitches and any remaining black lace/sole edges last. Check that the boot remains the dominant focal shape. FINISHING & PRESSING NOTES Preserve the clean white negative space between the boot, candles and wreath. Press from the reverse over a padded towel so roses, knots and boot texture retain dimension without flattening
