Choose your hoop size

The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.

Stitching sequence

  1. PHASES 1. TRANSFER + PRIMARY FRAME Transfer the large crescent, boot silhouette, three skulls, bats, bouquet masses, pumpkins, acorn clusters and the main gray foliage/scroll skeleton. Establish the crescent edge in one-strand 830/801 and the boot outline in 310. Keep stars, berries, tiny seed dots and most decorative ring marks off the fabric until later. 2. CRESCENT + BOOT FOCAL CORE Fill the crescent first with 830/832/729, curving stitches around its arc and holding 3822 for the brightest engraved motifs. Build the boot over the moon with 3799/413 and 310 shadow seams. Work from shaft toward toe, then add sole, heel, lace holes and the 729/3822 buckle so the boot reads as the darkest focal mass. 3. BOUQUET FROM THE BOOT Stitch gray leaves in 413/415/318 fishbone first, then build lavender roses from 154/3740 centers through 3041 to 3042 outer petals. Add cream berry clusters in 3822/3865 French knots with a few 729/420 shadow knots. Keep the bouquet edges irregular so the flowers feel dimensional and naturally gathered. 4. SKULLS, HATS + BATS Model the three skulls in 3865/318/415, then add 310/3799 sockets, nasal openings and teeth. Fill olive-gold hats in 830/832 with 729 highlights and 3041 bands. Work bats after the skulls in 154/3740, using 310 only at bodies and deepest creases so bat wings remain visibly violet rather than pure black. 5. PUMPKINS, ACORNS + WREATH Shape lavender pumpkins with 3740/3041/3042 curved ribs and cream pumpkins with 3865/3822 plus 420 shadow channels. Stitch acorns in 801/420/729. Complete the gray foliage in 413/415/318 fishbone, then connect the arrangement with 729/420 stem-stitched scrolls and small olive-gold branches. 6. STARS, RINGS + FINAL DETAIL Add the crescent circles/triangles, tiny gold stars, seed dots, rose highlights, berry knots, leaf veins and small ornamental curls. Use one strand for all fine marks. Check that the boot remains darkest, the crescent stays the warmest large shape, skulls are pale and crisp, and lavender repeats are balanced. Remove transfer residue and block from the reverse
