About this Jack O Lantern Harvest Bouquet Spiderweb Wreath embroidery pattern
Jack O Lantern Harvest Bouquet Spiderweb Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: A smiling orange jack-o-lantern sits above a larger ribbed pumpkin base, with a dense harvest bouquet of red-capped mushrooms, dusty rose buds, small cream blossoms, a white daisy, wheat heads, sage foliage and berry clusters. Four charcoal spider-web corners frame the hoop, while a thick wavy cream border encircles the center. Two black bats, acorns, a crescent moon, stars and scattered knots complete the autumn Halloween field. Artwork reference - complete composition, undistorted.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- PHASES 1. TRANSFER + STRUCTURAL FRAME Transfer both pumpkin silhouettes and ribs, jack-o-lantern face, bouquet stems, mushroom shapes, flower centers, wheat stalks, cream wavy border, four corner webs, bats, acorns, crescent and star positions. Stitch only green/brown stem scaffolding and key pumpkin seam guides first; leave web arcs, cream border passes, berries and raised flowers until later. 2. MAIN FOCAL ELEMENT Stitch the smiling jack-o-lantern first. Use 920/921/922 long-and-short from upper shoulder toward the lower curve, keeping the brightest 922 near rib centers and 920 closest to seams. Fill eyes, nose and mouth in 310 after the orange fill so edges stay crisp; add the green stem last to avoid contaminating the orange with dark fibers. 3. SECONDARY LARGE ELEMENT Work the lower ribbed pumpkin in 920/921, using 801/938 sparingly in the deepest grooves. Direct stitches vertically with a soft inward curve toward the center base, and keep this pumpkin flatter and slightly quieter than the face above. Preserve the upper edge under the bouquet so flowers and leaves can overlap it naturally. 4. FLORALS / FOLIAGE / SUPPORTING ELEMENTS Stitch foliage stems first, then fishbone leaves in 3011/3012. Add wheat in 729/422 behind the bouquet. Work mushrooms in 920/921 with 3865/712 spots and stems, then dusty rose buds in 3726/3727, plum berries in 154, the cream daisy and tiny blossoms. Let roses and mushrooms rise slightly; keep wheat and leaves flatter. 5. SMALL DETAIL WORK Complete acorns, fine berry stems, crescent, stars and scattered knots. Fill bats in 310 with stitches following each wing, then refine ears and wing notches with one strand. Stitch all four 3799 spider webs with spokes before arcs, and keep the web tension loose enough that the fabric remains perfectly flat. 6. FINAL DETAILS + BLOCKING Build the wavy cream border last in 3865/712 using parallel split stitches or neatly couched strands, matching the scalloped path without crowding nearby motifs. Correct pumpkin rib transitions, flower centers and web intersections, then balance star and knot spacing. Secure dark tails away from the ivory ground, steam lightly from the reverse and block flat without crushing raised flowers or berries
