About this Lunar Moth Roses Thorned Web Wreath embroidery pattern
Lunar Moth Roses Thorned Web Wreath brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Three floral clusters punctuate the wreath, supported by sage and mustard leaves, thorned vines and spiderwebs that create a circular frame. Value hierarchy: Darkest values sit in the black moth outline, crescent spots, webs and black thorn vine. Brightest values occur in cream flowers, white knots and pale moth highlights. Embroidery approach: Establish all fine black linework first, then stitch the moth details, foliage and rosettes. Finish with gold centers, scattered knots and subtle highlights so the wreath stays delicate.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Set the dark framework Transfer and stitch the black moth contour, black thorn vine and all spiderweb spokes with 1 strand so the circular structure is clean before filling.
- Build the moth details Add body shading, black crescent spots and fine gold vein lines. Leave most pale wing panels as fabric or use only sparse ecru/cream shading.
- Work the wreath vines Stitch the plum vine and remaining thorn details, keeping curves smooth and thorn lengths consistent.
- Add foliage Work sage, olive and mustard leaves with fishbone stitch, moving from the stem outward and alternating values to preserve depth.
- Stitch the rosettes Complete the deep plum, cream and sage flowers, keeping flower centers compact and petal spirals even.
- Finish knots and highlights Add gold flower centers, white/gold scattered knots and any final pale moth highlights. Clean the reverse and correct uneven web spacing
