About this Skeleton Hand with Crescent Moon Five Bats and Autumn Florals embroidery pattern
Skeleton Hand with Crescent Moon Five Bats and Autumn Florals brings celestial and botanical details into a hand-embroidery composition. Study the colored design and outline together before choosing which shapes to shade, outline or simplify. The supplied guide identifies these motifs: Central skeleton hand and forearm, cream crescent moon, five charcoal bats, rust and ochre flowers, sage foliage, berries and small gold star accents.
The colored image is a design reference. Thread, fabric and your stitch choices will affect the finished result. Preserve the open spaces around the smaller motifs and test difficult fills on a spare piece of fabric before stitching the main design.

Choose your hoop size
The outline pages are labeled for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 inch hoops. Measure the printed design before transfer, because printer margins and fit-to-page settings can affect its dimensions.
The stitch guide recommends 8" / 20 cm HOOP for this design.
A larger version gives fine contours and clustered motifs more room. Select the size that preserves the details you want to stitch.

Stitching sequence
- Transfer and structuralframework Transfer the central hand, crescent, five bats and mainfloral stems first. Mark flower centers, leaf midribs andstar positions lightly; preserve clear ivory gaps betweenthe wrist, moon and wreath.
- Main focal element Build the skeleton hand with 3865 over 318/414shadows, then define only the narrowest joints andcontours with 3799. Keep stitches aligned with eachphalanx and taper toward the fingertips.
- Secondary large element Fill the crescent with 712 and shade the inner curve with729/822. Follow the lunar arc in nested bands so themoon stays smooth and clearly separated behind theraised fingers.
- Foliage / supporting motifs Work sage branches in 3051/3052/3053, then rustflowers in 920/921/922 and ochre flowers in 680/729.Keep the wreath open and symmetrical rather than fillingevery fabric gap.
- Small decorative details Fill the five bats in 3799 with subtle 414 wing ribs. Addberries and rosettes in 920-922/680, then starbursts andsmall warm dots in 729 with one strand.
- Final accents, dimensionaldetails, cleanup, and blocking Refine bone ridges, flower centers and leaf veins; checkall five bat silhouettes for clean points. Remove visiblecarries across the ivory ground, balance the starspacing, and block the wreath circular without pulling thewrist off-axis
